This study is such a beautiful reminder of what it actually means to stay close to Jesus....not just during our quiet time or when life is going well, but in the everyday moments of life.

I really appreciated how this study takes the idea of “abiding” and makes it practical and understandable. Through Scripture, reflection questions, and thoughtful prompts, it encourages you to look at what it means to depend on Christ, obey Him, and truly find your life in Him. The focus on John 15 was especially meaningful, and I loved being reminded that we aren't called to produce fruit through our own strength....we're called to remain connected to Jesus.

I read this with my friend Taylor for mother's day this month. I bought this a long time ago and glad I finally got to it! We both enjoyed it, some days more than others, and the experience itself of reading through two each day and sharing with each other the struggles of motherhood we both each have was the best experience. If I didn't have that experience reading with her, I am not sure I would have loved it as much. 

It felt like having bible study together. We both thought it had good reminders for Mamas. I think it could have had some more "meat" to it, if you will, but I liked the reminders. It wasn't trying to fix you as a parent but it reminds you of the important of patience, sharing the Gospel with your child, our calling as Mama's etc. That God is with us in the every day tasks.

Short daily devotionals, application questions, etc. 

As with most Motherhood books though, since I am a special needs parent, I would say I didn't get a ton from many entries since some of the things don't apply to me in my situation with my little boy, but I think a lot of Mama's would enjoy this as a short devotional with encouragement. 

I think more practical tips could have been added and it would have added more meat to the book but I enjoyed reading it with Tay!

What a great lent study this was for me! I was able to keep up with it each day (minus the last week since I was traveling). I just finished it today, the day before Resurrection Sunday, and I feel so grateful for the sacrifice our Lord and Savior made on the Cross in our place. Many times I think we can forget context, history, and just how heartbreaking it was for Jesus to go in our place for our sins. We were deserving to be on that cross. It should have been us. It should be us. But JESUS took it all on our behalf. May we never forget exactly what He did for you and I. While this earth is our temporary home....we have such a hope in the Lord through belief in HIM to experience eternal life to all who accept Him as their Lord and Savior. When I felt I wasn't worthy....He was. He is. 

The Daily Grace Company has some really good Christian bible studies and I always enjoy my time in them. They help me draw near to the Lord and circle back to where I need to be in my faith walk when I feel stagnant. They help me get back in my word.

This Lent study walked through 41 days leading up to Resurrection Sunday, with illustrations that will take your break away...lead you to tears...remind you of just what the Lord did. The application questions - while I didn't fill every single one out - many of them had me in deep thought.

Thank you Daily Grace Co for sending me a complimentary copy of this to read! I loved it. I took my time with this one and it was very in depth, bringing lots of questions we have to the table. It also explained some of the other points of view people have and brought us back to scripture to explain the truth where possible. My favorite parts were on the Jesus Ascension portion. It was filled with the hope of Christ.

Highly recommend for anyone needing something theologically rich, especially around Lent season as we celebrate the Lord.

Some books come into your life right when you need them most and this was that book for me.

This study gently but honestly walks through something many of us don’t talk about... disappointment. The kind that comes when prayers feel unanswered, life turns suddenly, and you’re left asking God questions you feel guilty for having.

Right now this message feels especially personal as my family is walking through my Dad’s lymphoma diagnosis. I didn’t realize how many expectations I quietly have in my heart. So many expectations about how God would respond or what His will is...what His plan is....This book didn’t shame those feelings… it helped me examine them.

I loved how it points out that sometimes we don’t just struggle with circumstances, we struggle with who we thought God would be in those circumstances. We had OUR WILL instead of HIS WILL. I’ve caught myself wanting God to operate according to my timeline, my idea of “good,” and my definition of answered prayer. The book takes us back to Scripture. God’s goodness is not proven by easy outcomes, but by His unchanging character.

One of the most comforting takeaways for me was this.....Faith is trusting God when you don’t understand His plan.

Our hope was never meant to be in our circumstances but it was meant to be in a faithful Savior.

If you are walking through unanswered prayers, illness, waiting, broken relationships, or just a season that looks nothing like you thought it would… this book meets you there. 

This book helped me rest in a deeper truth that even when life doesn’t go the way I expect, God is still who He says He is.

✨Memorizing Scripture by Glenna Marshall @glennadmarshall is a beautiful book on the importance of scripture, practical ways to incorporate memorization into your everyday life and little reminders that even if your memory isn’t the best, you too can take those small steps to writing God’s word on your heart and in your mind. I am definitely going to be using some of her techniques in this. Thankful it was the @bloombookandbible read for this month!

✨Peace Under Pressure by The Daily Grace Co @thedailygraceco was also timely book. I was walking through a season of comparison, stress, pressure for all the things I’m trying to keep up with and then unexpected news in my family that was hard to process. BUT. GOD. He is ALWAYS there. This book reminded me so much of when the things happen that we cannot control, we can truly LET GO AND LET GOD take care of it. That when unexpected pressure and situations arise, is Jesus my first response or my last resort? Do I run to temporary satisfactions or do I run to the ONE that satisfies ALL NEEDS?
