Book Review: The Enemy by Sarah Adams
The Enemy by Sarah Adams - 4 stars
We have enemies to lovers, obviously from the title. He fell first, childhood (high school) enemies, happily ever after - pretty good tropes. It did borderline going on too long for the enemies thing with the girl but I am glad things turned when they did.
We follow Ryan and June. Ryan is back in town for a wedding and our main girl June does NOT want to see him again. Unfortunately she has to because they go to the same wedding and see each other. Ryan's always loved her but his "antics" back in high school were really "flirting" and she never fully saw it as that because he walked away from their almost kiss back then. Here are are 12 years later and its time for more prank wars and enemy drama between them.
Overall, pretty entertaining listen/read. Liked the bonus epilogue added in the end of the new version, definitely added to the story.
Some things I noticed changed from the old original edition vs the new was some mild language added but it was few and far between honestly, and some of the kisses were amped up but nothing too much for me. Loved the donut and prank war stuff in this one.
