As a Tennessee gal, I enjoyed this story. Dustin and Emberleigh were cute together. Savannah's books are some of my favorite so this is one I was really anticipating. :)

We follow Dustin who is Stevens' brother from the Love Trippin' series. He moves from Marbella Island, California🌊 to Waterford, Tennessee🏡. Dustin is the new rookie firefighter👨‍🚒🚒 in Waterford and the first job is a 🍰kitchen fire at Emberleigh's place. He hauls her outta there - literally 😂- and they have somewhat of a meet "ugly" rather than a meet "cute".😂 Emberleigh is a baker who is entering a baking competition and one rule is she needs a partner that is not a baker, so they agree to fake date for the competition's sake....but as things would have it...feelings start to form and the rest is history.

While I really enjoyed getting introduced to this charming small town and the lovable group of firefighters, especially Dustin....who was such a golden retriever of a main character, sweet, supportive, and easy to root for, I found myself wishing for just a bit more depth to the overall story. Compared to other books I have LOVED in the Love Trippin' series, this one felt a little lighter on emotional layers, and I didn’t connect with Emberleigh as much as I hoped to. That said, I still enjoyed my time with this and recommend it as a clean rom-com with no language, and I think readers who enjoy sweet, small-town romances will find plenty to love here.

Book Review: Fearless by Lauren Roberts

Fearless by Lauren Roberts Book 3 in the Powerless Trilogy 3 Stars OK, let’s dive into the review! I have sat with this all day and I think I’m going to land on 3 stars for this one. Books 1 and 2 were solid 4 star reads for me, and while my experience reading book 3 felt like a 4-star moment....mainly because I was in that UNWELL STATUS and absolutely NEEDED to know what was happening....it didn’t quite hold up in the end. You know those "drop everything and read" moments? That was ME! Her writing is great and addictive - but looking at the book itself, it felt a little all over the place.   Lending a Paw by Laurie Cass - 4 Stars  Book 1 in A Bookmobile Cat Mystery Series This was a fun introduction to a new cozy mystery series with a cute cat sleuth helping along the way! With the help of her rescue cat, Eddie, librarian Minnie Hamilton is driving a bookmobile in the resort town of Chilson, Michigan. Things happen she least expects when Eddie runs off and finds the body of a local man in town..... Minnie is ready to let the police solve the case but Eddie seems to smell a rat! Together they work to find the killer.  This was a really fun one to read while I was recovering from having surgery this last week! :) As a gift from my friend Tammy, I am so glad I read it! (And that I had my kitty Simba right there with me while I read it was a cute bonus!) Eddie is a stubborn kitty and I LOVED THAT! He kept on pushing the limits to help Minnie out. :)  A bookmobile is also a unique thing to find in books that I absolutely loved. I am looking forward to more ...
